In 1926 Lister introduced the Auto truck with a 600cc JAP petrol engine. Its success prompted the launch two years later of a railway version using the same engine and fuel tank package but mounted on a four wheel chassis. Like the diesel version that we still manufacture, ventilation for the engine and driver was never a problem since the bodywork is noticeable by its complete absence! Our model is based on the RT version that was fitted with a JAP 980cc V twin motor. Around 350 ‘R’ and ‘RT’ locos were built between 1928 and 1956. Many survive to this day. Our model is of whitemetal and brass, can be constructed using low melt solder or epoxy glue and comes with full, illustrated instructions. The kit comes complete, all you supply is glue, paint and two AAA batteries. 32 or 45 mm gauge.

This kit is a freelance design Skip loco that would have been typically used for the conveyance of aggregate from site to site whilst using the local Quarry network. This kit is manufactured in house and uses our laser cutters which now cut without leaving any black edge like other laser cut kits so paint is easy to apply this is achieved by shielding the beam with a inert gas and thus stops oxidisation and burning of the edges.
The kit comes complete with all that is required eg, wheels, motor ,wiring switches etc. The skip is made up from an injection moulding. It is powered by two AAA batteries and all gears,motor and wheels are included. (45 Gauge only 32 Gauge required please order 45 gauge and re gauge wheels)
